Temperance Hutter, mosly known as “Temp”, is a 39-year-old professional poker player from Charlottesville, VA, United States. He may have not yet had the biggest name in poker but he has certainly proven to be someone to fear at the poker table.
A Certified Public Accountant, Hutter used to spend a lot more time playing low stakes poker than he did trying to get to the professional circuit. Besides that, he runs marathons, plays tennis and goes skiing – keeping a healthy recreational life. But since he always liked playing cards, he decided to see how well he can do in a tournament. So, while at a convention in Las Vegas in 2003, Temp entered his first tournament at the Mirage and ended up at the honorable 3rd place. The next time he participated in a tournament, he actually made it into the World Series of Poker main event on a satellite and found himself at the Bograta in Atlantic City. He then won, after battling through a field of 485 players and, a month later, entered a similar event, which he won as well.
It was about that time, when things became serious to him – he took $10,000 out of his bankroll and entered the WPF at Foxwoods in Season 3 of the World Poker Tour. Of course, he was taking a huge risk, because there was no guarantee how long his luck was going to last. But, after spending unexpectedly much time at the poker table, he finished 2nd and, beaten by Tuan Le and won the prize of $973,000.
Things were looking great for Temperance Hutter and not just in poker. He is now married to his beloved wife and they have 2 children which he adores. His greatest goal in life is to continue being a great father, husband and of course to win a World Series of Poker bracelet. Of course, it is almost certain that he is going to get there, since he managed to earn more than 1 million dollars in less than three months. So, trying to gain people in the poker world’s respect, Temp Hutter is probably going to participate in much more tournaments and most likely win them.
