Sirious Jamshidi is an Iraqi poker player, who was born in 1956. Currently residing in Broomall, Philadelphia, United States, he also works as a car dealer. Sirious Jamshidi began his poker career in 2005 at the 36th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) by winning $1,765 in Event #44 - WSOP No-Limit Hold'em. He started 2006 with a promising note by finishing 1st in Event #14 - WSOP Circuit Limit Hold'em at the Grand Casino Tunica Poker tournament and walked away with $25,215. Later that year, Sirious Jamshidi walked away with a whopping $659,730 in Event #39 - No-Limit Hold'em Championship Final at the 37th Annual World Series of Poker. He also participated in the 4th Borgata Poker Open/WPT Event Season 5/Professional Poker Tour Event and pocketed $13,090 in the No-Limit Hold'em Championship. This winning streak continued with a 3rd rank finish in Event #9 Limit Hold'em at the World Poker Finals/WPT Event Season 5 which won him $16,166 in prize money.
In 2007, Sirious Jamshidi took part in Event #7 - WSOP Pot-Limit Omaha at the 38th Annual World Series of Poker. His fourth-place finish earned him a good reputation and $230,883 in prize money. He also participated in Event #22 - WSOP No-Limit Hold'em at the same tournament and made $20,034. These wins had given him a great momentum, and Sirious Jamshidi made an impressive fourth-place finish and $44,875 in the No-Limit Hold'em event at the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic/WPT Season 6. In the same tournament, he once again ranked fourth in the Super Satellite – No-Limit Hold'em event and $15,600 was added to his bankroll.
In June 2008, Sirious Jamshidi won $118,440 at the 39th World Series of Poker and ranked 4th in Event #11 - WSOP Shootout – No-Limit Hold'em. He also made $14,438 in Event #25 - WSOP Heads Up – No-Limit Hold'em World Championship in the same tournament.
As of 2008, Sirious Jamshidi has made a total of $1,209,118 in poker winnings, which include $1,057,251 in WSOP cash and $35,215 in circuit cash.
