Robert Mizrachi, an American professional poker player, was born on November 24, 1978 in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. His mother taught him to play poker at the kitchen table and being the eldest, Robert Mizrachi taught the game to all his brothers. His younger brother, Michael Mizrachi, popularly known as The Grinder, became a famous professional poker player and had a wonderful tournament in 2006. Michael’s twin brother Eric Mizrachi is also a poker player. Daniel Mizrachi is the only one in the family who has not taken up poker as a career and is a professional magician.

Robert Mizrachi worked as a poker dealer at a South Miami casino before becoming a full time poker professional. Though he was winning regular cashes in poker tournaments, it was his first place and the huge prize money of $487,865 at the Master Classics Of Poker & Lido International Main Event – No-Limit Hold’em in November 2004 that brought him to the limelight. In December 2004, Robert Mizrachi finished fifth at the Five-Diamond World Poker Classic II World Poker Tournament (WPT) Event Season 3 No-Limit Hold’em and walked away with $36,959.

In March 2005, Robert Mizrachi played well at the Spring Poker Festival – European Poker Tournament PokerStars Season 1 No-Limit Hold’em and secured the sixth place and earned $5,321. His awesome performance at the Five-Star World Poker Classic – WPT Championship Season 3 No-Limit Hold’em fetched him the third place and a huge sum of $66,835. In the same tournament, he made $30,000 at the WPT Main Event – No-Limit Hold’em. Robert Mizrachi bagged $40,675 and finished fourth at the 36th Annual World Series of Poker Event #15 – WSOP Shootout – Limit Hold’em.

The year 2006 proved to be a profitable one for Robert Mizrachi for he had ten cashes and he managed to finish within the twenty places in all events except for one. In January, he started off with sixth place finish at the Goldstrike World Poker Open WPT Season 4 Event #7 – WPO No-Limit Hold’em and earned $11,850. His sixth place at the Super Satellite – No-Limit Hold’em in the same tournament fetched him $10,400. In March 2006, Robert Mizrachi walked away with $65,000 in the Shooting Star – WPT Season 4 WPT No-Limit Hold’em and was placed 14th. The first prize at the Five-Star World Poker Classic – WPT Championship Season 4 No-Limit Hold’em got him $24,880 on April 4, 2006. But second place at the Five-Star World Poker Classic – WPT Championship Season 4 No-Limit Hold’em held on April 5, 2006 fetched him more money, an awesome $113,265. Robert Mizrachi walked away with $129,476 and finished sixth at the Mirage Poker Showdown WPT Event Season 5 No-Limit Hold’em Championship.

The 13th-place finish at the Five Star World Classic Poker Classic WPT World Championship Season 6 Event #15 –No-Limit Hold’em Championship has fetched him $131,910 in April 2008.

Robert Mizrachi did not receive the same attention as his brother, Michael Mizrachi but with the first prize and $768,889 in prize money at the 38th Annual WSOP Event #50 – Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship, he has made a mark for himself in poker history. His total live tournament winnings have exceeded $2,800,000, as of 2008.
