Philip Yeh is a professional poker player from Stenungsund in Sweden. His success story began in the No-Limit Hold’em European-World Series of Poker (E-WSOP) Trail at the Spring Poker Festival on March 5, 2006 with a respectable ninth-place finish, for which he won $11,927. Philip Yeh played brilliantly and outlasted a field of 232 players to secure fifth place in the No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Rendezvous a Paris – World Poker Tour (WPT) Event Season 5 in June 2006, taking home a whopping $172,019 in prize money. Two months later, Philip Yeh again finished fifth in the No-Limit Hold’em event at the Austrian Classics - European Poker Masters (EPM) and bagged $11,725. On December 26, 2006, he made an impressive third-place finish in the No-Limit Hold’em event at the Christmas Poker Week Tournament and earned $7,928. A couple of days later, Philip Yeh achieved a milestone in his career by finishing as the runner-up in the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Christmas Poker Week Tournament and walked away with $82,941. In March 2007, Philip Yeh secured a decent tenth-place finish in the No-Limit Hold’em European Poker Tour (EPT) Main Event at the Hohensyburg Open and collected a good sum of $48,624 for his performance.
The Pot-Limit Hold’em event at the Spring Poker Festival on March 13, 2007 marked a landmark in his career when he defeated a field of 106 players to emerge as the winner. He bagged $22,084 for his first-place finish in this event, which was held at the Concord Card Casino. A few months later, in July, he won an incredible amount of $237,865 in prize money by ranking fortieth in Event 55 No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the 38th Annual WSOP.
