Noah Schwartz

Noah Schwartz

Noah Schwartz, 24 (born in 1984), from Bay Harbor Island, Florida, is a relatively new player in the live professional poker tournaments scene. He only began participating in these tournaments on April 2007, when he was 23, at the WPT Season 5 World Championship in No Limit Hold'em. Even as a newbie, Noah Schwartz managed to win two of the championship's events, taking the 26th and the 10th places and taking home a total of $22,360.

Noah Schwartz didn't grow in the poker world, but came from a baseball family. As a child and teenager he followed the footsteps of his brother and his father before him, played in the baseball teams of his high school, and later got a scholastic baseball scholarship for college. In his freshman year, though, Noah Schwartz tore the ligaments in his elbow, and he had to recover from his injury before going back to pitching baseballs in the field.

During the time of recovery, Noah Schwartz began focusing on poker. It wasn't his first encounter with poker – he was introduced to the game in age 17, while still in high school, but only when he was injured and couldn't play baseball did Noah Schwartz discover the true magic of poker, or if to be more specific – the magic of online poker. Unlike baseball, poker didn't come naturally to the injured Noah Schwartz, and it took him a few credit card debts to find the right path to success and a large, handsome bankroll.

Slowly but steadily, Noah Schwartz learned to trust his intuition and try reading the other players in the poker tournaments. He covered his losses and played small tournaments, earning back his lost money and expanding his bankroll bit by bit, he started winning the online tournaments he played in. The nickname Noah Schwartz chose in the online poker website was "4UHaters", and was derived from the people in his life that told Noah Schwartz that he won't be able to become a successful poker player. He sure did prove them wrong.

So, ever since April 13th, 2007, Noah Schwartz has been playing live tournaments as well, and quite successfully, too. It took him a little more than a year, but he had already cashed in 15 tournaments and earned over half a million dollars, not including his online profits and winnings.

The greatest profit Noah Schwartz ever made in a live poker tournament was at the Borgata Winter Open, a WPT Season 6 event. There he took the 4th place of the WPT No Limit Hold'em tournament, along with $311,958. Back then, the 4th place was also his highest record in a live tournament. That personal record has been broken on June 14th, 2008, as Noah Schwartz won the 1st place in the No Limit Hold'em tournament at the Saturday No Limit Hold'em event at the Bellagio, Las Vegas, earning $53,675.
