Noah Jefferson is a professional poker player who was born in Lafayette, California, and raised in San Francisco. Currently residing in Santa Monica, California, he is nicknamed “the Wrangler” in the poker world. During his youth, he developed a liking for gambling and gambled on sports like tennis, basketball, and others along with his friends. Throughout high school, Noah Jefferson played cards with his friends and continued to do so even while attending the University of California at Davis. After graduation, he prepared for a year to take up the LSAT Exam to get into a law school. During this time, Noah Jefferson supported himself financially by playing in local card rooms. He got into the University of San Francisco - School of Law and during that year, he became engrossed in poker as it began to grow in popularity. He had to take a leave of absence from law school because of his huge success.
Noah Jefferson started honing his skills in poker by studying the game and practicing online. But it was live tournaments that pulled him into the game. His poker career took off when he secured fourth place by making it to the final table in the Limit Seven Card Stud event at the Winter Pot of Gold Tournament in December 2000. Two years later, in November 2002, Noah Jefferson performed well to finish as the runner-up in the Limit Seven Card Stud event at the $500,000 Guaranteed Gold Rush World Poker Tour (WPT) Season 1 and collect $4,000. The following year, on April 25, 2003 he played brilliantly to secure the first place in Event 11 Limit Hold’em at the Mini Series and walk away with $9,080.
In March 28, 2004, Noah Jefferson came fifth in Event 16 No-Limit Hold’em at the World Poker Challenge WPT Season 2 and earned $7,846. Early next year, in January, he won $11,857 in the No-Limit Hold’em event at the LA Poker Classic WPT Season 3 by securing fourth place. In March that year, Noah Jefferson made $25,000 in the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at the Shooting Star Tournament – WPT Season 3 by finishing thirtieth.
On October 2, 2005, Noah Jefferson came third in the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at the World Masters – European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 2 and earned a handsome amount of $136,609 in prize money. Later that year, in December, Noah Jefferson made a good sum of $40,250 in Event 14 No-Limit Hold’em at the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic WPT Season 4.
Noah Jefferson made a few good earnings in 2007, including a huge amount of $77,350 in the No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the WPT World Championship Season 5 in April. That year, in December, he had two decent finishes in No-Limit Hold’em events at the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic, which brought him $16,980 in prize money.
Noah Jefferson achieved yet another milestone in his career on February 11, 2008, when he played remarkably well to finish second in Event 18 No-Limit Hold’em at the LA Poker Classic WPT Season 6 and bagged $57,100. On March 14, 2008, he had an impressive fourth-place finish in the No-Limit Hold’em Championship at the Bay 101 Shooting Star WPT Season 6 and walked away with an incredible amount of $265,000 in prize money.
