Michael Kinney is a professional poker player, born in Ketchikan, Alaska and currently residing in Sandpoint, Idaho. He works in the construction business and has his own company, called “Kinney construction”. Michael Kinney has a poker mentor in his life and that was his father, who has been playing the game for more than 50 years.
Despite that his total poker winnings exceed $700,000 poker is not his primary money income as Michael Kinney thinks of poker as just a hobby. The biggest achievement in Michael Kinney’s career was winning the World Poker Challenge 2004- WPT Season 2 tournament, earning the prize of $629,429. Just a month later, Michael Kinney won another $83,000 for taking the eleventh place in the WPT World Championship at the Bellagio hotel, in Las Vegas. Even though he plays just for pleasure and relaxation, Michael Kinney is a serious poker player, with strong skills and deep dedication to the game.
