Luke Chung was born in Seoul, South Korea in 1975, and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating high school, Luke Chung enrolled to Cornell University and there he earned a degree as a bachelors of Science. Later he completed an MBA in the University of Michigan and developed a career as a corporate finance manager.
The poker scene is not new to Luke Chung, as his tournament winnings proved. He only had two cash winnings in live professional poker tournaments, though. The first of which was on September 22nd, 2005, in the No Limit Hold'em tournament of the Borgata Poker Open in the fourth season of WPT. Luke Chung took the 25th place in that tournament, along with $24,978.
The second cash winning in a live professional poker tournament for Luke Chung was on August 10th, 2006, in the No Limit Hold'em Championship finals of the 37th annual WSOP. Luke Chung played his hands as well as he could, and made it all the way to the finals of this No Limit Hold'em championship, taking the 14th place and the respectable sum of $907,128 – more than ten times his last cash winning.
Ever since his last winning in 2006 Luke Chung hasn't participated or won cash in any major or minor live poker tournament.
