Kevin Aaronson

Kevin Aaronson

Kevin Aaronson is yet one of the poker players who turn up in a single tournament and win a great deal of money and overnight glory, and then simply take the money and disappear.

Kevin Aaronson from Mission Viejo, California, hit the jackpot of the WSOP tournament only once, but he had two small earnings from live poker tournaments prior to his grand winning. The first of the two winnings was in August 2004, when Kevin Aaronson took the 9th place and $955 in a $300 No Limit Hold'em tournament of the Commerce Casino weekly tournaments series in Los Angeles, California.

The second time Kevin Aaronson has made it to the cash was a month later, on September 2004, in the same tournament series as the first victory, in the Commerce Casino weekly tournaments. This time he won the 3rd place in the tournament, taking home $2,075.

These two small victories led to nowhere, and Kevin Aaronson took a break from the poker world. But the game is addictive, and once it touches your soul you'll never be complete again without it. Apparently the game did touch Kevin Aaronson, who decided to return to the poker scene. On July 28th, 2006, Kevin Aaronson took a great chance and entered the 37th annual WSOP No Limit Hold'em Championship. He managed to get to the championship's finals on August 10th, 2006, and took the 15th place along with $907,128. Ever since then he disappeared from the scene of professional poker and the live tournaments. Maybe one day the poker bug will strike again and bring Kevin Aaronson back for more tournaments and earnings, maybe not. We'll just have to wait and see about that.
