Jamieson Pickering, an Australian poker player, was born in 1964, and he currently resides at Surfer's Paradise, Queensland, Australia. Besides playing poker, he also owns a nightclub in Australia. In 2005, Jamieson Pickering made his presence in the poker world by participating in the 36th Annual World Series of Poker. He took part in the $3,000 Buy-in No-Limit Hold'Em event and won his first WSOP prize money worth $4,180.

Jamieson Pickering began 2006 with a $7,106 cash finish in the $5,000 Buy-in Pot-Limit Hold'em event at the 37th Annual World Series of Poker tournament held in July. Jamieson Pickering proved his poker skills at his homeland, when he participated in the 2008 Aussie Millions Poker Championship. He played in Event #1 – No-Limit Hold'em and pocketed $ (AUD) 4,028. He also participated in $ (AUD) 2,000 Buy-in Event #10 - Hold'em & Omaha & Omaha Hi/Lo at the same tournament. He finished in seventh place to take home $ (AUD) 9,120.

Later in the year, Jamieson Pickering achieved a major milestone in his poker career by finishing 2nd in the $1,500 Buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha event at the 39th Annual World Series of Poker held on June 10, 2008. He outlasted all players who entered the event and made it to the final table to play against Vanessa Selbst, a poker pro from Brooklyn, New York and took home $145,459 as cash prize. Jamieson Pickering also took part in two more events in the same tournament that included Pot-Limit Omaha W/Rebuys in which he won $61,718 and World Championship Pot-Limit Omaha in which he bagged $28,651. As of 2008, Jamieson Pickering has total poker earnings amounting to $260,262.
