Hafiz Khan is a poker player from Stockton, Northern California. He used to be a software analyst for many years, until he found out his next passion.
Hafiz Khan played poker for many years just to take off the edge and spend some fun time with his friends. He always believed that little luck and a lot of talent can get you to the winning spot. But unfortunately, at that time he had been too far from a winner.
In the 90’s poker became so popular, that almost everyone played. But only the best players remained loyal to the cards as the cards to them.
So it wasn’t long ago before Hafiz Khan started specializing in online games. It took a lot of time before he felt comfortable enough to get out of the virtual world and step into the real poker scene. Maybe he was afraid to lose? Maybe he needed more luck? Or maybe he just wanted to master his skills and be sure that he has what it takes to be a winner.
Of course every star finds a way to shine. And so did Hafiz Khan. His big break came when he qualified for the 2008 European Poker Tour PokerStars.com Caribbean Adventure. The competition was hard for him and it was the first real tournament he participated in. But despite the tension, despite the other players’ efforts, Hafiz Khan made it. That was when he won almost $1, 1 million. Not bad for a beginner, right?
He says himself that he has been enjoying the PCA and that despite it was long and difficult, it was great fun. So far his big break in the 2008 PCA is the only thing we can relate Mr. Khan to. But we’re all looking forward to seeing a lot more of him.
