Eric Cajelais was born on the 19th of February, 1984 in Montreal, Canada and currently resides in Lachenaie, Quebec, Canada. He started playing poker when he was still a teenager with his older brother and some of his friends just for fun. But it turned out, that the young boy actually was pretty good at it so eventually he started training in order to become a professional. After those first success, Eric Cajelais made his first World Series Of Poker (WSOP) appearance in 2006 in the $5, 000 No-Limit Hold ‘em event. From a starting field of over 600 players, he finished in 19th place for more than $14, 000. Eric Cajelais rounded out 2006 with four more WPT cash finishes, including first place at the WPT Five Diamond Classic at the Bellagio. In addition to over $405,000, he earned his first World Poker Tournament gold bracelet. Eric Cajelais continued to build an even more impressive career in 2007, as he had several cash finishes and final tables at championships. Eric Cajelais was in second place at the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, facing the likes of Team Full Tilt’s John Juanda at the final table. For his efforts he was rewarded with $483, 0000. He nearly snagged his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2007 in a $5,000 Pot-limit Omaha event but unfortunately lost.
