David Bach is a professional poker player from Athens, Georgia, United States and is nicknamed "Gunslinger" in the poker circle. He was born in Springfield, Missouri and earned a BA in Psychology from the University of Georgia. He is playing professional poker since 1996 and his favorite poker game is Seven Card Stud.

In January 2003, David Bach made a name for himself in the poker circuit, when he participated in the Jack Binion World Poker Open 4th Year – World Poker Tour (WPT) Season 1. He took part in the World Poker Open (WPO) No-Limit Hold'em event, and outlasted all entrants of the game to finish second and take home prize money worth $51,143. In the 36th Annual World Series of Poker 2005 (WSOP), David Bach played in Event #3 – Pot-Limit Hold'em held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and finished in fifth place to walk away with $88,680 cash prize.

In February 2006, he took part and finished third in the LA Poker Classic/WPT Event Season 4. For his impressive finish in Event #24 - Limit Hold'em, David Bach earned prize money worth $132,420. In the same year, he entered Event #25 - WSOP Shootout – No-Limit Hold'em at the 37th Annual World Series of Poker, where and his seventh-place finish earned him $32,760 in prize money.

In 2007, David Bach competed with poker pros in Event #30 - WPT No-Limit Hold'em Championship at the LA Poker Classic/WPT Event Season 5 tournament. He finished sixth in the event and a whopping $257,425 was added to his accounts.

A major turning point in his poker career came when he participated in the 38th Annual World Series of Poker. He made an impressive second-place finish by outlasting 687 players and took home the runner-up title as well as cash prize worth $139,725 in Event #42 - WSOP Omaha Hi/Lo.
