Darrell Dicken, an American professional poker player, is popularly known by his pseudonym “Gigabet”, in the internet poker circle. Darrell Dicken was born on June 18, 1977 in Waterloo, Iowa and he currently resides in Las Vegas. Initially, he spent approximately 18 hours each day playing online poker which helped him to understand the nuances of the game before he entered the world of live poker tournaments in 2005. He was one of the most feared poker player at the tables for his ability to throw in an unorthodox play when it was least expected and also for his by-the-book plays.

Darrell Dicken competed with poker pros and finished third in the Mirage Poker Showdown/World Poker Tour (WPT) Event Season 4 No-Limit Hold'em event and took home $36,422. In the 36th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP), 2005, he successively outlasted most of the players to complete seventh in Event #5 - WSOP Limit Omaha Hi/Lo and walked away with $38,585 in prize money. In the same year, Darrell Dicken participated in the Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic/WPT Event Season 4 Event 14 – No-Limit Hold'em and ranked fifth to bag cash prize of $241,495.

Darrell Dicken made an impressive first-place finish in the Harrahs Rincon Poker Tournament - WSOP Circuit No-Limit Hold'em Championship (Event 8) in 2006. Darrell Dicken outlasted all the entrants to win the title and bag $372,780 in prize money. Later in June 2006, he finished sixth in the 2006 Tournament of Champions (TOC) for the World Series of Poker - No-Limit Hold'em Championship and $75,000 was added to his existing bankroll.

In March 2007, Darrell Dicken claimed the title of the Foxwoods Poker Classic/WPT Event Season V Event 9 – No-Limit Hold'em and made $169,917 in prize money. His winning in the 2007 Mirage Poker Showdown/WPT Event Season 6, Event 1 – No-Limit Hold'em proved his mettle as a poker pro. Darrell Dicken finished first by competing against major players and won a whopping $48,189. In the same year, he participated in the Mirage Poker Showdown/WPT Event Season 6, Event 10 - WPT No-Limit Hold'em Championship and accomplished a third-place finish and cash prize of $259,369 was added to his bankroll. In the same year, Darrell Dicken entered the 38th Annual World Series of Poker and took part in Event #16 - WSOP H.O.R.S.E, which earned him $12,213.

A major breakthrough in his poker career came in the year 2008, when Darrell Dicken participated in the Five Star World Classic Poker Classic/WPT World Championship-Season 6 Event 10 – No-Limit Hold'em. He finished first at the final table and walked away with $223,330 in prize money. Another notable victory in the same year was his third-place finish in the Wynn Classic, Event 9 – No-Limit Hold'em, which earned him $29,236.

As of 2008, Darrell Dicken has four first place finishes to his credit and has made total live tournament winnings that exceed $1,800, 000. He continues to play online and says that his most favorite game in the poker tournaments is No-Limit Hold'em.
