Conor Tate entered the World Series of Poker in 2005, where he finished twelfth in the 36th Annual World Series of Poker, Event 42 WSOP World Championship, No-Limit Hold'em and won $600,000 as prize money. In 2006, he participated in the 37th Annual World Series of Poker and made an impressive finish in the WSOP No-Limit Hold'em event and took home $26,311. He also won $8,113 in the No-Limit Hold'em event at the same tournament. In the 38th Annual World Series of Poker Event 55 - WSOP No-Limit Hold'em Championship, 2007, Conor Tate bagged prize money of $51,398.
In March 2008, Conor Tate walked away with $23,591 in the Irish Open, No-Limit Hold'em Championship. He also participated and won cash prizes in the 39th World Series of Poker 2008 and placed twentieth in Event 23, WSOP No-Limit Hold'em to walkaway with $13,209 in prize money.
Conor Tate is the founder of “Uncover Poker”, an online poker school that provides online video training to cover various aspects of the game. He also offers one-on-one tuition over the phone for beginners who want to enter the poker world. Jon Kalmar who finished fifth in the Main Event of the 2007 WSOP was trained by Conor Tate.
For the past few years, Conor Tate has been playing online events and has consistently beaten the toughest high stakes No-Limit Hold'em tables.
