A poker veteran and legend, Chris Reslock has a World Series of Poker bracelet and 12 first place finishes to his credit. Reslock is fondly called the “The Cabby”, as he was a semi-retired cab owner and driver before he started playing poker professionally. Born and brought up in Chicago, Illinois, Reslock discovered poker in 1993 when it was first legalised and took a big liking for small-dollar Hold’em games.
Although Chris Reslock made up his mind to balance his passion for poker with cab driving, he gradually started spending more and more time playing poker. He realized early on that his potential earnings through poker were a lot higher than he could make driving cabs. Reslock would often visit casinos with his cab parked nearby so that he could still ferry customers to earn his pay.
As time went by, Chris Reslock grew a lot more confident of his poker skills quit cab-driving to focus on poker full-time. His 2005 win at the World Series of Poker No Limit Texas Hold’em Championship tallying $335,235 against John Juanda and his second place finish at the Trump Classic No Limit Hold’em Championship are some of his greatest achievements.
In 2006 at the TOC World Series of Poker No Limit Hold’em Championship, Reslock finished 4th after an intense final round, leaving $150,000 richer. Chris Reslock biggest win came in 2007 when he won the 38th World Series of Poker Seven Card Stud Championship and took home a hefty $258,453 and with it the WSOP bracelet.
Residing in Atlantic City, New Jersey with his wife, Chris Reslock has amassed total career earnings of $1,453,624.
