Carter Gill is a professional poker player, who comes from the northern Idaho area of Couer d’Alene. He is 20 years old now, but has always dreamed to be a professional poker player one day. He decided to pursue that dream, so after taking a journey to Asia, Carter goes to Sydney for the APPT final. Gill tries to participate in as many poker tournaments as possible but mainly in the PLO, Pot Limit Omaha, because he considers PLO to be “basically the sickest game ever”.
Carter is fascinated with the idea of playing poker and visiting different and impressing places worldwide, so his intention is to travel around the world and take part in poker events worldwide. However, his life is not all about poker – he does a lot of other activities in his free time and does not think it is healthy to devote your life to the green table. As a matter of fact, in an interview after a game, he says himself: “I really do feel sorry for some of the online professionals, who are pasty and fat and have no social life.”
Hi still has not become the professional he wants to be though - Carter Gill is too young and inexperienced to make his name in the world of poker. So far he has only made 2 cashes and his total live tournament winnings come up to $230,000. From now on, however, Carter will give his best to improve his game play and to step ahead, next to the real players.
