Brent Carter

Brent Carter, born in 1959, is an American poker player who is currently living in Oak Park, Illinois. The two time winner of gold bracelets at the World Series of Poker grew up in Treasure Island, Florida. He is one of the oldest contestants of the WSOP and has cashed in forty-five times during WSOP tournaments.

In 1991, Brent Carter made $166,800 by winning the WSOP $1,500 Limit Omaha event at the Binion’s Casino in Las Vegas. In 2003, Brent Carter cashed in most of the tournaments he participated in. He took part in the Los Angeles Poker Classic Event #9 Pot-Limit Omaha during Season 1 of the World Poker Tour and ranked seventh, making $3,900. Later that year, he earned another $24,595 by ranking second in the LA Poker Classic Event #16 of the Limit H.O.E. WPT Season 1. In March of the same year, Brent Carter secured second place at the No-Limit Hold’em event in the Spring Poker Tournament. He then placed third in the World Poker Challenge of the WPT Season 1 in Event #4 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo and bagged $4,307. In April, he had a sixth-place finish at the final table during the 34th World Series of Poker Series (WSOP) in Event #6 Pot-Limit Hold’em and walked away with $10,340. In addition to these winnings in 2003, Brent Carter also came third at the California State Poker Championship in Event #10 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo.

Brent Carter struck gold once again at the 1994 WSOP $1,500 Limit Omaha and earned a whopping $169,200. In the year 2004, he participated in the 5th Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open of the WPT Season 2 Event #14 Limit Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo and finished third, making $8,920. Again on May 11th, he ranked third in the 35th Annual WSOP Main Event #22 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo and added $56,860 to his bankroll.

In March 2005, Brent Carter ranked first in the World Poker Challenge of the WPT Season 3 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event and took home $15,018. In a very short span of time, he secured third place in the Pot-Limit Omaha Event and bagged an additional $2,968. Brent Carter again made it big in 2006 when he ranked third and won $77,722 after participating in the 37th Annual WSOP Event #24 Omaha Hi/Lo. He also ranked second in the Orleans Open No-Limit Hold’em in July 2007 and made $15,575.

In 2008, Brent Carter finished in sixth place in the WSOP Circuit Event #9 No-Limit Hold'em at the Harrah's Rincon Poker Tournament and earned $3,550. In February of the same year, he took home $15,504 by ranking first in the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker Charity Pot-Limit Omaha. Again in March 2008, Brent Carter won the Winnin 'O' the Green Event #6 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo with total earnings of $6,425. In April 2008, he made another $3,735 by finishing sixth in the Caesars Las Vegas Poker Tournament, a WSOP Circuit Event #6 Omaha Hi/Lo. In the 39th WSOP during the 2008 Event #37 Omaha Hi/Lo, World Championship 8 or Better, Brent Carter earned $27,612 after finishing in sixteenth place.
