Bernard Lee, an American professional poker player, is known for his prominent success in the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. He was born on May 16, 1970 in New York. He received his BA and MA from the Harvard University and earned an MBA degree from Babson College. Currently, Bernard Lee lives in Wayland, Massachusetts, United States with his wife and two children, Noah and Maya. Before dealing cards at the poker table, Bernard Lee worked as a marketing professional in a biotechnology company in Massachusetts, which he quit in the year 2007 to become a full-time poker professional.

Bernard Lee gained the attention of the poker world when he finished 13th in the 2005 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event for which he earned $400,000 in prize money. Following this success, Bernard Lee added another feather to his cap in 2006. He participated in the World Poker Finals/World Poker Tour (WPT) Event Season 5 and outlasted all the entrants to make it to the final table, where he played heads-up against Cliff Josephy, a poker pro from Syosset, New York. After a few hours of play, Bernard Lee made an impressive first-place finish and took home $368,919 as cash prize.

With brilliant poker skills and strategies, Bernard Lee consistently performed well in most of the events that he participated. He made it to the finals in the 2007 Mega Stack Challenge and claimed the second runner-up place in the No-Limit Hold'em event. For his outstanding performance at the final table, he won a cash prize worth $58,954. In the same year, he entered the Gulf Coast Poker Championship/WPT Season 6 Tournament and participated in the No-Limit Hold'em Championship and walked away with $28,035 in prize money with his eleventh-place finish. His winning streak continued when Bernard Lee made it to the final table at the No-Limit Hold’em event in the same tournament. He survived all the poker pros and finished in first place to take home prize money worth $239,143.
Bernard Lee played well in the Horseshoe Council Bluffs Poker Tournaments - WSOP Circuit Event held in February 2008. In Event #11 - No-Limit Hold'em Championship, he earned $37,965 for his fourth-place finish. In the same year, he made his appearance in the Foxwoods Poker Classic/WPT Event Season 6. He was awarded prize money worth $27,191 for his fourth-place finish in the No-Limit Hold’em event.

In April 2008, Bernard Lee took part in the Caesars Indiana WSOP Circuit Event and created a ripple at the final table of Event #11 - No-Limit Hold'em. He eliminated eminent poker stars in the final round and played heads-up with Dale Robinson from Otsco, United States. For his incredible second-place finish, he gained $40,237.

Bernard Lee is the proverbial “Jack of all trades”, and he works as a poker commentator and columnist for the Boston Herald and ESPN.com. He has also been an instructor with the well-known World Poker Tour (WPT) Boot Camp. Though his many occupations claim much of his time, Bernard Lee loves to play golf, tennis, and run. As of 2008, his live tournament winnings exceed $1,325,000 with 17 cashes and two first-place finishes.
