Ben Fineman became a professional poker player in the year 2005 when he was just twenty-one. Today, he is among the most promising poker players on the professional poker circuit. The last few years on the circuit has seen Ben Fineman register 18 cashes and finishing thrice in the first place at major poker events.
It all started out for Ben Fineman on his 21st birthday, when he and a few of his friends landed up at Foxwoods casino to “have some fun” (in his own words). Entering a Limit Hold’em tournament, Ben Fineman folded out quickly and then moved to $2/$4 Limit Hold’em tables where he fared quite well. The ignited interest had him playing more and over the next few weeks he gradually progressed to the $1/$2 No Limit Hold’em tables and then to the $5/$5 tables. After few months, early in the year 2005, Ben Fineman entered the weekly $150 No Limit Hold’em tournament and ended up in the second place along with making a lot of money as well. A few months later, Ben Fineman turned pro and since then he has never looked back, consistently putting up impressive performances.
The early part of his poker career has been a good one for Ben Fineman who honed his poker skills while playing with some of the best poker players in the world. Finishing fifth in the Event #28 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em at the 38th Annual World Series of Poker held in 2007, Ben Fineman took home $100,431. This was followed by another sterling performance at the Inaugural Caesars Palace Classic, Event #5 - No Limit Hold'em event. Ben Fineman finished in the first place and earned $55,845 as prize money.
The year 2008 is proving to be an excellent one for Ben Fineman who has managed to rake in huge amount of money along with good finishes. His best results have come in the recently concluded Caesars Las Vegas Poker Tournament - WSOP Circuit Event. They include the first place finish in the Event #2 - No Limit Hold’em that earned him $73,566 as prize money and a second place finish in the main event, Event #13 - WSOP Circuit No Limit Hold'em Championship, where he ended up with a cool prize money of $257,585. With various poker tournaments in this year’s calendar yet to happen and considering his recent good form, Ben Fineman is sure to add a lot to his total winnings.
