Andre Boyer was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1943. He owned a very successful company which was in the business of producing warehousing materials. After retiring, Andre Boyer and his wife moved to Las Vegas where then became fond of poker playing. Aside form being a professional poker player Andre Boyer is now also a narrator for Reseaux Des Sports, which airs WSOP broadcasts.
Andre Boyer says that in the beginning he read a lot of poker books, to get the hang of the game and then would go to a poker room and play cash games like the $3-$6 limit and eventually loose. He would then go back and read the books once more over, and go play again and still loose, but this time with a bigger fight. After having played in cash games for about 5 years, Andre Boyer became a professional poker player and now only takes part in live tournaments. He is most fond of No-Limit Hold'em events, but also enjoys taking part in Omaha and Seven-Card Stud events too. Andre Boyer considers the best way to learn the game is just to sit behind a player and watch them play.

Also in the same year Andre Boyer entered the 25th WSOP World Championship - No Limit Hold'em event and finished at 6th place with $97,500 in earnings. He went on to take part in the 28th,29th,30th,33rd,34th,35th Annual World Series of Poker events respectively finishing at 14th,4th,14th,3rd,60th and 8th place.
