Alex Kahaner is a professional poker player from Israel, who moved with his family to America in 1986. He used to be a computer consultant, but now has a residential construction company. When Alex Kahaner is not at work, most of the time he spends with his children, because family time is really important to him.

Alex Kahaner`s passion for poker began 11 years ago. In an interview Alex Kahaner describes himself as a patient, methodical player, who gets aggressive when he gets cards and the blinds go up. Alex Kahaner has always had the big ambition to play in the big tournaments and to become a famous name in poker. Although he works hard and it takes up most of the time he has, Alex Kahaner tries to participate in as much poker side games as possible, also in $40-$80 and $60-$120 no-limit games.

In 2004, he played in a few small tournaments and after that Alex Kahaner decided to invest in a bigger tournament. The best achievement of Alex Kahaner is his first place in the 2005 World Poker Tournament Championship. The Legends of Poker was held at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, CA on August, 31, 2005. It was the season’s third event, in which 239 players entered and created a $4.1 million prize pool. The leaders in the tournaments were Kenna James, Jake Minter, Tim Phan, Alex Kahaner, Todd Phillips, and Kevin O'Donnel. After an amazing game, the first place was taken by Alex Kahaner, who walked away with the $1,125,000 prize. Even though the job obligations come first, Alex Kahaner still has the big intent to go back in the poker world and to have the chance of becoming a World Champion once again.
