Poker Rules

The rake is the portion of a pot that goes to the house. The amount is fixed and gets tagged onto pots that reach a pre-determined size.

The dealer is responsible for the rake in live casinos; a few chips are taken for the house before the winner of the hand claims the pot.

The same system operates in online poker rooms. Every hand that generates a pot of $5 or more is raked. Its an inversely proportionate ratio meaning that the lower the limit you play under, the more the rake will affect you.

All tables, with blinds $0.05/$0.10 and up:

# of Players Rake per Pot Max Rake

2 $0.01 per $0.20 $1
3 - 10 $0.01 per $0.20 $3
