What types of tournaments are available?

There are loads of different kinds of online poker tournaments to play in at PokerTime. You can choose from sit ’n go’s, multi-table freerolls, multi-table buy-ins and satellite tournaments where you could find yourself winning entry into a host of exclusive and lucrative land-based tournaments.
Sit and go’s are available to play 24/7 – all you need to do is pick a table and sit down. As soon as enough other players join you the online tournament will begin.

Multi-table tournaments take place every day – click here to see the current scheduled tournaments as well as the tournament calendar.

How do I enter a tournament?

Sit and Go tournaments:

Open the poker room lobby, click on “Sit & Go Tournaments” which you’ll find under “Choose your game” and from here you’ll be able to view the types of tournaments that are available.

If you want to join a table, double-click a table in the list or you can select a table and click the “Join Table” button underneath the table list; this will take you to your table where you can select your seat and as soon as all the seats are taken the tournament will begin.

Multi-table tournaments:

You can join a multi-table tournament by opening the poker room lobby where you can click on “Scheduled Tournaments” (under “Choose you game”) to have a look at the current tournaments. You’ll also be able to view the game type, the buy-in requirement and the number of players who have already registered for the game. These tournaments require you to register and to do so you can select the tournament that you’d like to play and click the “Tournament Lobby” button that is below the table list.

You’ll be taken to the lobby for the particular tournament you’ve chosen where you’ll be able to see all of the details. From here you can choose to play the game by clicking the “Join/Leave” button.

You’ll now get a Buy-In dialogue box where you can accept the buy-in and therefore be registered for the tournament.

Always take note of the tournament starting time. You can log in a few minutes before the tournament begins and you’ll be allocated a seat at one of the table automatically.

How does the tournament buy-in work?

You’ll see an option to buy in next to the tournament or tournament table in the list of tournaments in the poker room lobby – e.g. $20 + $2. This is the total amount you’ll need to buy in to the tournament. The larger amount is for the prize pool and the smaller amount will go to the house. This is the standard practice for both online and land-based poker tournaments.

Where do I find the multi-player tournament rules?

Every tournament has its own set of rules that you can find in the lobby of that particular tournament. You’ll find the specific terms and conditions on the promotions page.
