Last week we had a look at how the Man of the Hour, Tiger Woods, would fare at poker and it was ascertained that while for a few months he seemed to think he was holding all the good cards, in the end it would be his wife, Elin, who would take the pot.
We’ll keep you informed of this development play by play……
So, who else is really big in popular culture right now?
Vampires!
Twilight and True Blood are two of the most popular films/series on at the moment.
And how do we think these blood suckers would do playing poker? Do vampires have the skills required? Here’s a ‘tick off’ list of whether vampires have got the goods:
The ideal time for playing poker is late at night.
Poker requires a killer attitude and the ability to go for the jugular.
Poker requires stamina for those all nighter games.
Poker requires a real thirst to learn and to ‘soak things up’.
To play poker well, an intimidating presence and a stare that will mesmerize you is required.
One drawback the fact that Twilight vampire sparkle. This won’t do for good bluffing technique.
Poker is becoming more and more popular just as vampires are. We embrace the lust and thirst for life of poker players and vampires alike. So perhaps it’s time to put the two together and have a tournament exclusively between the heartthrob blood suckers of Twilight and True Blood. Who do think would win?
