As per usual, Phil Helmuth has to try and out do the rest of the poker world and show off. On day 1A of the WSOP, the 11 time WSOP bracelet winner decided that the best course of action would be that of entering the Casino at the Empire in Leicester Square accompanied by 11 Lady Gaga impersonators – one for each of his bracelets.
The arrival which happened just outside the casino featured a full rendition of Lady Gaga’s Poker Face.
Helmuth said in a press release “I was pumped to see such a huge crowd gathered at the Empire like never before when I arrived to take my seat at the WSOPE. Quite the arrival I’d say. The London double-decker, the brass band and 11 Lady Gaga’s all add up to the most unique media event in poker so
The Poker Brat's Gaga inspired entrance follows Julius Caesar and Phil Hellmuth lookalike inspired arrivals in previous years.

Want some more Phil Helmuth? Seeing him live on TV and replaying videos of him on YouTube not enough for you? Along comes Bugle, a new kind of wierd social network in which one can communicate with celebrities using audio call broadcastying and personally reach out to their fan base
Wierd? A little. It's like a fan club, but the celebrity is the king of all. It feels a little like Twitter. I actually tried to get a call from Phil, but alas, I'm still waiting. Though I'm sure I'm going to be getting the call any second now. He is wearing his common place headphone, so he should be talking to my voicemail at any point now.

It ain’t always a smooth ride to the top and we often only see the glamorous and fun side of professional poker. Players have become well known for winning huge amounts of money at glitzy tournaments worldwide. Many of these players have also had their fair share of losses and trials too. It seems an ability to persist and get back up are just as important in professional poker as skills and strategy during the game are.
Phil Hellmouth, one of the best known poker players out there, has won 9 World Series of Poker bracelets. He won it the first time at the tender age of 24 making him the youngest player to win the tournament. Despite the massive poker success, he dropped out of the University of Wisconsin to play professional poker.
Joe Beevers, a well known European poker player was part of the Hendon Mob in 2004 before playing the Hendon Poker Tour all over the world. He teamed up with his father to play blackjack and they were so successful that they were banned from playing in the majority of casinos in London.
Gus Hansen, the winner of 3 World Poker tours and one of the first poker players to be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2004, has received considerable negative criticism for his unpredictable poker style. He is said to lead other players to raise a bet or call when he has a winning hand. Despite the criticism, this tactic has contributed to considerable winnings.

Phil Hellmuth is known for his bratty conduct at the poker table and while it’s really entertaining for anyone watching he seems to have decided to get his temper under control. Rumour has it that he has called in Sam Chauhan, a ‘mindset coach’, to help him to stop having hissy fits every time he doesn’t get his way during a game.
Chauhan has calmed a stream of poker players including Antonio Esfandieri, Gavin Smith and Josh Ariech, who have all subsequently increase their earnings at the tables. Seems Chauhan might be somewhat of a ‘poker player whisperer’.
