With the heat soaring to intolerable heights in San Diego this week, gamblers have yet another excuse to hit the local tribal casinos. The casinos are smiling because even more hot weather is predicted to hit over the next few weeks that is likely to result in more people hitting their casinos.
"It has been way too hot outside to go to the beach or do anything outdoors," said Sheila Binham. "My friends and I went to the casino two nights in a row because we did not want to deal with the heat. It turned out to be a good choice, I won 4100 bucks."
San Diego hit temperatures of over 100 degrees this week, the hottest weather since 1963. Apparently casinos experience their highest turn out during summer because they are so much cooler than outside and when temperatures really sizzle, even non gamblers join in the fun.
