Fabian Quoss

Fabian Quoss, A German professional poker player has emerged at the top of a field of 193 other poker players and has succeeded in winning the 2010 English Poker Open. The German collected the top prize of £220,000 after winning a qualifier for the tournament through an online freeroll. Not a bad return for someone that did not have too much of an initial spend.

2010 has been quite a good year so far for Quoss. He’s becoming quite a name in the poker tournament scene and has been in the money in quite a few tournaments across Europe recently. This event has been the second in two weeks that Quoss has seen cash in the space of a fortnight after he final tabled lat the World Poker Tours London Classic event. Although this latest win far triumphs his win previously where he placed 7th winning £26,144.

After winning the final hand where Quoss’s AQ held up against an A5 Quoss commented. “It’s my fourth heads up and I’ve lost the first three,” Quoss said. “The final table had a pretty high level of play, even compared to my WPT final table. It was pretty tough.” ‘

The no limit hold’em event which has a £3,500 + £250 buy-in which has a prize total of £675,500 was held at the Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair London as part of the London September Poker Festival.
