The Mayor shows off Sin City's mascots
We’ve used the old adage ‘What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas’ once this week already and did a little research on where the quote comes from. It was created by Jeff Candido and Jason Hoff as an advertising campaign slogan written for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, 2002. I think Vegas is the only city in the world that capitalizes on its reputation for crazy experiences that are unrepeatable back in normal society.
This is not the only thing that Vegas is unique for. Mayor Oscar Goodman is running for Governor and whilst doing so he’s holding one of Vegas’ most treasured mascots in each arm- buxom showgirls!
Mayor Goodman is quite a guy: he used to be a defense attorney for the mob and whilst campaigning recently he told a group of 4th graders that if he ever got stuck on a desert island he would take a showgirl (1 not 2) and a bottle of Sapphire Bombay Gin- a brand for which he is a spokesperson.
He has also said: “And if I’m governor, I’ll cavort with showgirls and I’ll keep drinking my gin and betting on anything that moves. I won’t change!”
