A poker Dealer at a casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been accused and arrested of stealing around $500 worth of poker chips from the casino he worked at. The crime was brought to the public limelight lwast week when Matthew Eisenberg, a 25 year old male, was charged by the police with theft.
Eisengberg, who has been dealing poker at the Rivers Casino for a while now, had recently becoming short in recent days. He apparently moved $1 and $5 chips into his own tip jar using his right hand, slipping them away. According to the charges, after pushing the remaining pot to the winner at the end of the hand, he would collect the cards, subtly tapping the extra chip into his tip box while players were unlikely to be watching.
He apparently did this 108 times taking a total of around $501 dollars in tips in chips.
Casino security were apparently not even aware of this indiscretion until Eisenbergs tip hard grew from $200 a day to around $500.
Casino security cited Eisenberg’s greed as the reason for his eventual arrest, noting that his sleight of hand work wasn’t nearly as obvious as his sudden increase in average tips per day.
