And now for something a little bit off topic.
Ted William is not famous yet, but he’s going to be.
It seems a viral video has been rocketing through the internet in the last day could possibly catapult this homeless man to the next big thing. Williams, 71, soliciting money from an interstate in Columbus, Ohio with a sign advertising his ‘god given gift’ of the perfect voice for radio.
His sign caught the attention of a reporter for the Columbus Dispatch who interviewed Williams yesterday and piosted the clip to the net. Reddit, PokerTime’s favourite community as per usual showed an immense of altruism and offered numerous goods and services to the this man.
Williams was introduced to the idea of becoming a "voice" at the age of 14, when he met an announcer on a field trip who told him radio is "theater of mind."
just said, well, hey. I can't be an actor, I can't be an on-air personality, but the voice just became something of a development over the years and I went to school for it," Williams says in the video.
"And then alcohol and drugs and a few other things became a part of my life. I've got two years clean, and I'm trying hard to get it back. And hopefully somebody from one of these television or radio stations will say, 'Hey, I need a voice-over.'"
It seems this going to happen. Taking from some user shiggidie post on reddit this is what’s been going on:
Redditors in Columbus are trying to find Ted Williams but have been unsuccessful so far. A local radio show The Morning Zoo has FOUND Ted for their show tomorrow Wednesday, January 5th at 7:15am EST.
It seems this is the start of something very cool
