All roads lead to Lady Gaga
With so many poker metaphors and references to poker in mass media, non-poker related sites often get in the way of online searches for real poker sites. Searches for sites featuring the world’s most popular card game are often misguided to sites about politics or popular entertainment.
Lady Gaga is a great example of this. Her hugely popular pop hit “Poker Face” has gotten in the way of many searches. If you are reading this, chances are you’ve searched for ‘poker’ on Google and chances are you’ve often been led to sites promoting all things Lady Gaga. When Roberto Ivanov of Canberra, Australia, was searching for information on online satellites for the WSOP, he couldn’t avoid being inundated with results for Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” music video.
And with a headline like the one above, there should be even more search results linking ‘Lady Gaga’ to ‘Poker’. Oops
